It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem.

Me, I'm that councilor referenced here.

I'm hoping there's a sense that I'm one for transparency, especially in sharing information from the city in all types of mediums, but darn if this ask didn't take a while. I want to say this first came as a request back in April and it hinged on hiring someone who had this time built into the job responsibilities. Understandable. Glad we are getting it going.

We live in 2024; we have the technology. For many, it's hard to snag time to come to these in person. And, is Planning and Zoning a riveting meeting? Sometimes! (You're asking the wrong person; I'm a meetings nerd.) But for real, stream it at the gym or cooking dinner or doing laundry. Email me to ask questions or suggest comments later. You are part of the process.

Like this report says, Planning and Zoning is one of the most important bodies within the city and it's the best way to hear as commissioners are working through some changes to how we grow as a city.

[Update at 6 pm:] Planning and Zoning is streaming live! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGHrASxAcyE

This one is a work session on Realize [www.realizelascruces.com], which is updating development codes for the city.

[Previously written around 4ish: That said, the work session for Planning and Zoning this evening won't be streamed as I understand it because there was a conflict with streaming Bridging the Badge (which you can view on YouTube and Las Cruces Police FB page) and will feature Mayor Enriquez.]
